What We Believe

  1. We believe that the Holy Bible was written in its original languages by men divinely inspired and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction, that is has God for its Author, salvation for its end, and truth without mixture of error for its matter. II Timothy 3:16, 17; II Samuel 23:2; Acts 3:21.
  2. We believe there is one God eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1; John 10:30, John 4:24.
  3. We believe in the Deity of Christ, John 10:33; His virgin birth, Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35; His shed blood for atonement, Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14; His bodily resurrection, John 11:25; and His personal, pre-millennial return to establish His kingdom on earth, I Thessalonians 44:16-18; Revelations 20:5-7.
  4. We believe that all men are by nature sinful and lost and that for salvation, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. Romans 3:19.
  5. We believe that Satan is a person and that Hell is a place of eternal conscious punishment of all unsaved. Job 1:6, 7: Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:14, 15.
  6. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin; makes believers children of God through the new birth, assuring them of Heaven; and by His indwelling, enables Christians to live a Godly life. John 16:8; I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 12:13.
  7. We believe that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Acts 13:38, 39.
  8. We believe that a New Testament church is an organized body of baptized believers practicing Scriptural ordinances and actively engaged in fulfilling the Great Commission. Acts 2:41, 42; Matthew 28:19, 20.
  9. We believe that baptism is a Scriptural ordinance requiring immersion (Acts 8:38, 39) of believers only (Acts 2:41) to be administered by a New Testament church. Romans 6:3-5; Matthew 3:15, 16.
  10. We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a Scriptural ordinance of the church to be partaken of by obedient Christians of like faith. I Corinthians 11:23-29.
  11. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5:28, 29.
